Kathleen Ann Kane, 71, of Bayville, died suddenly on November 17, 2016.
Born in New York City, she lived in Ridgefield Park before making Bayville her permanent home many years ago. Mrs. Kane was secretary to the Chief of Police in Berkeley Township for 30 years and served under Chief DeMey, Chief Kern and Chief Weinlein. Kathleen was totally devoted to her family and will be dearly missed. She had been predeceased by her parents, John and Helen Dalton.

Surviving are her husband of 48 years Jack; two daughters, Diana Kane and her fiancé Timothy Seymour and Karin DiMichele and her husband Tommy; four grandchildren, Evan, Ryan, Kelsey and Katelyn; also by her pet and best friend, Maui.
Visiting hours will be from 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Monday, Nov. 21, at the Mastapeter Funeral Home, 270 Atlantic City Boulevard, Bayville. Her funeral will begin at 10 a.m. on Tuesday, at the funeral home before celebrating an 11 a.m. funeral Mass at St. Barnabas R.C. Church, Bayville. Burial will follow to New Jersey Veterans Memorial Cemetery, Wrightstown.
