UPDATE: Ocean County Toddler Killed When Aunt Accidentally Backs Over Him With Car: Cops
The accident happened when the boy wandered out of the house, police said.

A 2-year-old boy who wandered out of the house and into a driveway has died from injuries he received when his aunt accidentally backed over him, authorities said.
The accident happened on Dec. 8 at the Woodlake Manor Complex in Lakewood, according to authorities. Police responded to Ocean Medical Center in Brick after learning about the accident.
The boy was in the care of his 33-year-old aunt. She was preparing to go out and decided to move her car to a closer parking spot to load her car with packages and her nephew, according to authorities.

She did not realize the little boy had followed her outside. When she backed up the car, she struck the boy, which caused significant head injuries, authorities said.
Prosecutor's Office spokesman Al Della Fave said the office had responded to the accident, which he said had been ruled "preliminarily a horribly tragic accident."

The aunt did call police, but a neighbor drove the woman and the boy to the hospital before police arrived. The little boy - identified as Jayden Marquez by the Lakewood Scoop - died at the hospital, he said.
The boy's death is under investigation by the Lakewood Police Department Traffic Safety Unit, the Detective Bureau and the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office.
No charges have been filed.
A GoFundme page entitled Funeral Expenses for Baby Jayden has been set up with a goal of raising $7,500. As of mid-Friday $3,638 had been raised.
"As Jayden's family deals with the worst nightmare any family can imagine, they need our help more than ever. The entire community stands with the family in spirit, and we seek to help them in any way we can," Mayor Menasche Miller wrote on the GoFundme.com page.
