A Letter To The Editor From Robert J. Martino

Former Berkeley school board president announces his choices for both school districts.

A Letter to the Editor from Robert J. Martino

In addition to the upcoming presidential election, we have a very important election locally.

We will be electing members to the Central Regional and Berkeley Township school boards. As a retiree living on a fixed income and former Board of Education President, I'm asking everyone to support Jennifer Leicht, Lou Tuminaro and Ralph Frulio for the Central School Board along with Edward Cammarato, John MacMoyle and Steve Pellecchia for Berkeley School Board.

They have a very impressive record of public service and community involvement, which makes them uniquely qualified to serve. They are committed to the education,
safety and welfare of all children and to be fiscally responsible to the taxpayers, is impressive.

I am also encouraged at their efforts to change the current school funding formula that discriminates against Berkeley Township, denying us real property relief. More state aid will lower our property taxes! Fifty percent of our entire tax bill goes to fund education. We need tax relief now!
