Man Goes Out For A Drive In Holiday City, Car Catches On Fire
No one was injured in incident, Police Chief says

Berkeley police are investigating the cause of a fire that ended up fully engulfing a vehicle on Mule Road recently, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
Patrolman Robert Flanegan was dispatched to Mule Road and Edgebrook Drive on a report of a possible vehicle fire at 3:57 p.m. on Jan. 22. The male driver reported that as he was driving his vehicle on Mule Road, he began to smell a burning odor coming from the dashboard vents. Subsequently a small fire then started near the gas pedals, the chief said.
"The fire escalated and the driver pulled his vehicle over on the shoulder of the road before it was fully engulfed," DiMichele said.
