Ocean Gate Man Facing Numerous Drug Charges: Cops

Arrest came after a three-month investigation, police chief says

Ocean Gate police recently arrested a borough man on numerous drug charges after a three-month long investigation, Police Chief Reece J. Fisher said.

Police charged Kevin J. McGrath, 22, East Bayview Avenue, at 7:30 p.m. on Sept. 30 with possession of drug paraphernalia, including six pipes, one bong, a scale and a grinder, the chief said.

He was also charged with distribution of psilocybin, distribution of marijuana, possession of psilocybin, Fisher said.

Berkeley Township Detective Sgt. Peter LaRocca and Ocean Gate Detective Vincent LaRocca led the investigation, assisted by Ocean Gate officers Rich Gabriel, Rich Zonin, Shane Gawales and Steve Shan who helped conduct the search warrant, he said.

McGrath was taken to the Ocean County Jail in lieu of $20,000 bail, Fisher said.
