Partly Sunny Skies Today At Ocean County Beaches

The rip current risk is low, ocean water temperature is now up 76 degrees.

OCEAN COUNTY, NJ - The National Weather Service is calling for partly sunny skies and a low risk of rip currents at Ocean County beaches for the Fourth of July.

Temperatures will only reach the mid 80s at the beach. Winds will be from the east at 5 to 10 miles per hour. The ultraviolet index has dropped to a 7, which the NWS considers high. So don't forget your sunscreen. There is no lightning threat today. It looks like the brutal heat wave of the past several days is slowly fading away.

The rip current risk is low. But rips can still occur at anytime, especially near jetties and other structures. Never swim on an unguarded beach. Never swim alone or at night. Don't be a statistic this summer.
