Pedestrian Thrown 20 Feet In Seaside Heights Hit And Run
Authorities are looking for a black Dodge Ram that hit the woman, then left the scene on Central Avenue

SEASIDE HEIGHTS, NJ - Seaside Heights police are looking for a black Dodge Ram that struck a pedestrian so hard that the impact threw the woman 20 feet, a spokesman for the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.
The incident happened at 10:49 p.m. on July 29 in the area of Sheridan and Central Avenues, said spokesman Al Della Fave.
Danielle Cangelosi, 25, of Kingston, New York was walking eastbound on Sheridan Avenue when she was hit by the Dodge Ram, which was heading northbound on Central Avenue approaching the intersection of Sheridan Avenue. When the Ram left the intersection, it struck Cangelosi, he said

The Dodge Ram continued northbound on Central after the accident, then left the scene. Cangelosi was taken to Community Medical Center in Toms River for her injuries, Della Fave said.
The Dodge Ram had a partial New Jersey license plant with the letters "TJ." Anyone who witnessed the accident or has information, please call the Seaside Heights police at 732-793-1800 or the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office at 732-929-2027, ext. 3257.
