Route 9 Accident That Snapped Pole Still Under Investigation
The accident on Sunday in Bayville involved only one driver, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Police are still investigating a one-car accident on Route 9 Sunday morning that snapped a utility pole and tied up traffic on the busy roadway for several hours, Police Chief Karin T. DiMichele said.
Route 9 had to be closed between Moorage and Harborage avenues. The accident occurred at 500 Route 9, near Iger Way, the chief said.
The roadway was reopened at 3:30 p.m., DiMichele said.
