Two Charged With Distributing Heroin In Bayville, Police Chief Says
Four search warrants issued, two for homes, two for vehicles, more arrests are expected.

Berkeley Township, New Jersey - Police Chief Karin T. DiMichael said Bayville residents were instrumental in reporting suspicious activity that led to the arrest of several men who were charged with distribution of heroin.
The investigation is continuing and more arrests are possible, the chief said.
Berkeley detectives and members of the patrol division executed four narcotics search warrants for a Clifton Avenue address and a Manhattan Avenue address and two search warrants for vehicles on Dec. 22.

"All warrants were executed simultaneously and were all connected to this investigation," the chief said. "The two target homes and associated vehicles worked in tandem as a network to distribute heroin throughout the areas."
Police seized packaged heroin, narcotics packaging material, cash, marijuana and associated paraphernalia, the chief said.

Police arrested John W. Dames 3rd, 41, Newark, and charged him with possession of marijuana.
Ashley Duffy, 30, Clifton Avenue, Bayville, was charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin and possession of marijuana.
Mazzi Woolery, 27, Manhattan Ave, Bayville, was charged with conspiracy to distribute heroin, possession of heroin and possession of marijuana. All three were released from police headquarters after processing, the chief said.
Berkeley police were assisted by the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office Special Operations Group, the Ocean County Regional SWAT Team and the Ocean Gate Detective Bureau. This investigation is ongoing and more arrests are likely as the evidence is processed, the chief said.
"It should be noted that this investigation was the result of numerous neighborhood complaints involving the sale of narcotics," DiMichele said. "Concerned citizens aware of suspicious activity played an essential role in these arrests.
