Used Toy Drive Seeks Donations Near Berkeley Area
Several locations near the Berkeley area are participating in a county-wide used toy drive for kids in need this holiday season.
OCEAN COUNTY, NJ — Several locations near the Berkeley area are participating in a county-wide used toy drive for kids in need this holiday season.
The program only accepts clean, gently used toys with no missing parts and new batteries if needed. Stuffed animals will not be accepted.
Four locations are collecting used toy donations in Lacey, Toms River and Island Heights:

The toy drive was organized by Ocean County Recyclables and Second Chance Toys in an effort to keep toys out of landfills.
According to Second Chance Toys' website, over 370,000 toys have been donated to children in need, saving 1,500,000 pounds of waste from landfills.
