A Very Special Flag Will Be On Display Briefly In Berkeley
The Ground Zero flag will flown on the stage at Veterans Park at 9 a.m. on Monday morning

BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - A flag that flew over the rubble from the World Trade Center site and over thousands of sites since the Sept. 11 terrorist attacks will be very briefly displayed at Veterans Park on Monday morning.
You can see both the flag and a cross from the lobby of one of the World Trade Center buildings at 9 a.m. at the township's 9/11 memorial by the stage at the park in Bayville.
The flag has a 17 year history. It flew over the "Spider Hole" where Saddam Hussein was hiding, the Pentagon, numerous other buildings and has greeted troops and first responders, according to a township release.

The "Ground Zero" flag must be flown at each site for at least 9 minutes and 11 seconds. Berkeley will only have the flag for an hour and a half before it is transported to the next site in Barnegat Township.
Berkeley Township Tom and JoAnn Meehan had custody of both the flag and the cross on Sunday night. The couple lost their daughter Colleen Barkow in the terrorist attacks on the World Trade Center.
