BERKELEY TOWNSHIP, NJ - Here's a sample of what's happening in and around Berkeley Township this week.
MONDAY - Berkeley Township Council meeting, 6 p.m., Town Hall, 627 Pinewald Keswick Road, Bayville. The caucus meeting starts at 6 p.m., followed by the regular meeting immediately after. Hint: Most of the discussion takes place at the caucus meeting.
TUESDAY - Berkeley Township Farmer's Market, 10 a.m. to 5 p.m., parking lot at the Berkeley Township Recreation Department at 630 Route 9 in Bayville. Come and see what the vendors have to offer and visit the Berkeley Township Historical Society next door.

TUESDAY - Gordon Hesse, author of Island Beach: a sonnet in the sands, presents a program of the photographic splendor and history of Island Beach at the Berkeley branch of the Ocean County Library at 30 Station Road in Bayville. The program will run from 7 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Registration is required. Please call 732-269-2144 to register.
WEDNESDAY - The next "Sounds of Summer" concert series kicks off at 6 p.m. at Veterans Park in Bayville. Sounds of the Street will kick off the concert, followed by Garden State Radio, which will play sounds of the 80s, 90s and 2000s.
