All Bedminster Districts to Vote at Municipal Building

That will be the only polling location on Tuesday.

Because of the massive power outages across the township, all Bedminster residents will be voting at the municipal building on Miller Lane, according to Bedminster Township Mayor Robert Holtaway.

The township, normally broken into nine districts with four different polling places, will be reduced to the one location.

"It's going to be a chaotic day," Holtaway said.

Holtaway said the township will be using generators to power the voting booths in the municipal building, which, as of Friday afternoon, still does not have power.

"We still have no idea about the power situation," he said. "Crews are in town working on it."

Holtaway said Far Hills residents will be voting at the Bedminster municipal building as well. Usually, he said, they vote in the Far Hills municipal building, but power has not been restored there either.

For those interested in voting before Tuesday, the Somerset County Clerk's Office, on Grove Street, will be open for specific hours through Monday for paper voting.

The office will be open until 4:30 p.m. Friday, and 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Saturday and Sunday. The office will be open Monday from 8:30 a.m. to 3 p.m. for voting.

The polls will be open Tuesday from 6 a.m. to 8 p.m.
