“The dollars we are spending [on Bolandi] are very valuable and we had no choice [but to appoint someone],” Casella said. “Ron has been very helpful.”
“We wish this didn’t take place, but we are dealing with the situation,” he added.
Casella said they still cannot release information about Koos’s condition because of health privacy laws, but would provide what they could when they could.
Bolandi is a retired superintendent from East Windsor Regional School District, having spent 20 years there as superintendent until 2010. A resident of Readington, he has also served as an interim in Edison and other districts, and has a very strong financial background.
Bolandi said he was a business administrator in a district, and has worked on many budgets in many different districts.
Bolandi has been putting most of his focus on the budget since his appointment.
