Bedminster School Changes Dismissal Procedure
Parents will not be able to wait for their children in the front lobby.

In a letter to the school community, Bedminster Township School principal Corby Swan said, effective Monday, there is a change to the parent pick-up procedures at the school.
According to the letter, parents will no longer be allowed to wait in the front lobby of the school at dismissal time. Instead, Swan said, the procedure will be to go through the Parent Pick-Up line while staying in the car and pullling up to the area marked "Start Line Here."
The students will be brought to the cars, the letter said.

"I apologize if this inconveniences anyone," Swan said in the letter. "However, it is a safety issue. There is too much congestion near the front lobby, as well as the noise level it produces, which is a distratcion to the main office staff, as they are trying their best to coordinate a proper dismissal."
In addition, Swan said, there could be unannounced visits from the county and the state, and the school would be in violation if there were found to be so many people congregating in the front lobby.
