Bedminster Seeing Increased Number Without Power

Bernardsville also has more homes without power since Thursday.

With thousands of residents in the Somerset Hills area in the dark four days after the storm hit, there are still predictions of a week or more until power is fully restored.

In Bedminster, there are still 3,199 homes without power, actually an increase from the 2,586 reported Thursday.

In Bernards Township, there are 9,212 residences without power, down from 11,561 Thursday, and Bernardsville is reporting 3,865 without power, up from the 3,444 reported Thursday.

The newest numbers are all as of 10 a.m. Friday.

Representatives from JCP&L have said that the majority of customers will be restored by Nov. 7, with those in the hardest-hit areas to be restored throughout the following week.

And according to the power company's website, a large number of customers will not be able to receive power until damaged roads, infrastructure and homes are rebuilt.
