But no more incidents reported as of end of last week.

Bernardsville Police still were seeking the culprit or culprits who damaged more than 40 mailboxes total in the Bernardsville mountain area in late March and early April. However, no similar incidents had been reported as of late last week, said Police Lt. Demmings Hoadley.

The second, most recent spree of mailbox vandalism on Bernardsville mountain apparently occurred overnight from April 2-3, according to reports from Bernardsville Police, who are asking residents' assistance in finding a culprit or culprits.

Eighteen mailboxes reportedly were smashed overnight on Chapin Road, Dryden Road, Post Kunhardt Road, Ballantine Road and Mine Mount Road, Hoadley said.
