Fire Department Chief
Why do you believe the community leader should be recognized or honored?
Carson’s dedication to his community and push for innovation in firefighting and emergency response have not only saved lives but also set a shining example for all fire service professionals and community leaders. Over 75% of fire departments in New Jersey are volunteer, and many of the men and women serving their communities spend a minimum of 10 hours a week on calls for service and training. Officers and Chiefs generally spending 25+ hours per week.
What's one thing you want everyone to know about the community hero?
One important thing to know about community heroes is that they often work selflessly and without seeking personal recognition or reward. Carson’s primary motivation is to improve the well-being of his community and help others. Recognizing and appreciating these efforts often go unrecognized. I would like to inspire more people like Carson to get involved and make a difference in their own communities.
