Solar Discussions Top News This Week

It's Monday, the start of another work-week, the end of the weekend, and that can only mean one thing—it's time to look ahead to the week at hand.

It's going to be busy in Bernardsville and Bedminster, and we've got your list of things to look out for, from meetings to school activities and everything in between.

This week, we will look into the status of the solar ordinance before Bedminster Township, as well as an upcoming hearing on an application for thousands of solar panels on Kirby Farms.

We will have details this week on the Land Use Board’s acceptance of the application and upcoming hearing.

Plus, at Thursday’s Land Use Board meeting, they are expected to discuss whether the solar ordinance, which has already been introduced by the township committee, is in line with the township’s master plan.

Coming up this week:

• The Bernardsville Borough mayor and council will hold a public meeting at 7 p.m. Monday at the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
• The Bedminster Open Space Farmland Advisory Committee will hold a meeting Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the municipal building on Miller Lane.
• A Bedminster Township School PTO meeting will be held Tuesday at 7 p.m. at the school.
• The Bernardsville Environmental Commission will hold a meeting at 7 p.m Wednesday at the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
• The Bedminster Land Use Board will hold a meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday at the municipal building on Miller Lane.
• Bedminster Township School will have delayed openings on Thursday and Friday because of parent/teacher conferences. School will begin at 10:50 a.m. both days. Conferences will also be held at 6 p.m. Thursday.
• The Bernardsville Planning Board will hold a meeting Thursday at 7:30 p.m. at the municipal building on Mine Brook Road.
• Bedminster Township School will hold its spring fling at 7 p.m. at the school Saturday.
