Brookdale Kids Flash Back to the '80s at Talent Night
Reagan-era inspired music and performances ruled the night.
The 5th Annual Brookdale Elementary Talent Show was held Friday, April 19, 2013.
But the music was from about three decades earlier.
The theme for this year's show was "Rock of Ages" and the '80s were on full display with the students took the audience back to the days of big hair, neon cloths, Madonna, Michael Jackson and more.

There were 23 acts with 43 students in all. The students opened the show together singing "We Will Rock You" and ended the night with the finale "We Are the Champions."
Dancers, singers, drummers, pianists and guitarists of all ages performed songs by the likes of Joan Jett and Survivor. The show's director Jack Lynch, a DJ and veteran actor of television and theatre and father of Annabella and Grace (5th and 2nd graders, respectively) said, "Working with grades 1-6 was a challenge, but one I am so proud of as they all shined brightly!"
