Mother, 2 Children Stabbed In Apartment In Essex County: Reports
The mother and toddlers, ages 1 and 3, had been critically injured and were hospitalized, the reports said.
EAST ORANGE, NJ — A woman and her two toddlers were stabbed and critically injured early Thursday in an apartment in East Orange, according to reports.
The family was attacked in an apartment on the second floor of a building on Park Avenue at North 18th Street just after 1:30 a.m., ABC 7 reported.
The woman, in her 20s, and her children, a 1-year-old and a 3-year-old, were taken to University Hospital in Newark and were listed in critical condition, the New York Daily News reported.

The woman had lived in the building her whole life and one of her children had just celebrated a birthday, CBS New York reported, and the neighborhood typically quiet.
East Orange police had not released any information Thursday afternoon.
