Softball Winning Streak and Track Wins This Week in BHS Sports

BHS sports update reflects victories and improved play.

The Following information comes courtesy the Bloomfield High School Athletic Department.

Softball went 5-0 for the week outscoring their opponents 55-1 in the process. Steph Mancuso blasted two Home Runs in the win over MKA. Debbie Mazzeo now has six shutouts on the season.

The Track team bested East Orange and Nutley in league competition. At the Morris Hills Relays both the Boys Shot Put (Serhiy Kralka, Assad Younas, Adam Wooten) and Boys Javelin (Jeovan Santos, Mike Galli, Vic Olapinsin) continued undefeated on the season.

The Golf team continues to lower their scores with each successive match. Alexandria Russomanno is close to clinching a berth in the Individual State Tournament.

Volleyball went undefeated for the week topping Millburn and Belleville.

Baseball scuffled dropping close games to West Essex and Montclair.  

Boys Tennis competed at the County tourney. The Boys dropped the opener to a tough Livingston squad but bounced back to defeat East Side in the consolation bracket.

The Bloomfield High School Athletic Hall of Fame conducted their induction ceremony and welcomed

It was truly a night to remember as Bloomfield celebrated the accomplishments of these talented individuals.

Did You Know- Brian Lindner was the Nation’s second ranked High School shortstop in 1992. Ranked first-Derek Jeter.
