According to the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, the collision took place near the intersection of Cleveland Court and East Veterans Highway (County Route 528/527) at approximately 5 p.m. on May 30. Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer's office said there were "multiple fatalities," but did not provide further details. However, preliminary New Jersey State Police crash data listed two people as deceased, a driver and a passenger; it is unclear if they were in the same vehicle.
