Bloody Knuckles Lead To Charges In Brick Road Rage Incident
Police say a Brick Township man threatened another driver with a knife and pounded on the victim's vehicle, bloodying his knuckles.

BRICK, NJ ā A Brick Township man has been arrested after he bloodied his knuckles pounding on another driver's vehicle and threatened the driver with a knife on Monday, police said.
Jake McMahon, 26, has been charged with terroristic threats, possession of a weapon for an unlawful purpose and unlawful possession a weapon in the road rage incident that happened about 3 p.m. Monday on Mantoloking Road, Patrol Officer Victoria Finelli said.
Patrolman Peter Bylsma had been flagged down in the area of Mantoloking Road and Dock Road by the victim, who told Bylsma the incident happened when he was cut off by a vehicle and honked his horn, Finelli said.

The man ā later identified as McMahon ā got out of his vehicle and threatened the victim with a folding knife and banged on the window and side of the vehicle, but the victim was able to leave the scene safely, she said.
The victim gave police descriptions of the vehicle and the suspect along with a partial license plate number, she said.

At 4:40 p.m., Patrolman Joseph McGrath saw a vehicle matching the description in the area of the 7-Eleven on Mantoloking Road, when he observed a vehicle matching the description provided. When McGrath approached the vehicle and began speaking with McMahon, he noticed McMahon had bloody knuckles on both hands, Finelli said.
McMahon then admitted to being involved in the incident, she said.
He was processed and released on a summons with a future court date, Finelli said.
