• Brick EMT Named National Paramedic Of The Year (patch.com) — Brick residents can take pride in EMT Ricardo Lopez, who has been named National Paramedic of the Year and celebrated by township officials. Serving Brick EMS since 2006, Lopez is praised for calm leadership, clinical excellence, and compassionate care that comforts patients and families during their worst moments. Mayor Lisa Crate and EMS Director Jim Riccio highlighted how his dedication strengthens Brick’s emergency response and mentors future EMS professionals.
   

• Midd North wrestling's 'perfect partners' sweep at Mustang Classic; results (app.com) — A packed Mustang Classic at Brick Memorial High School saw Middletown North brothers Thomas and Ryan Blewett win back-to-back titles while several Shore Conference wrestlers claimed championships. The tournament also honored late former Brick Memorial assistant coach Denny D’Andrea, with coaches presenting his family a framed Brick Memorial sweater as the event prepares to be renamed in his memory next season.
