29-Year-Old Dies After Boat Capsizes In Ocean County: Police
The victim was found more than 24 hours after the boat capsized at Prospertown Lake, authorities said.
JACKSON TOWNSHIP, NJ — A boater died after a vessel capsized over the weekend in Jackson Township, according to police.
The victim was a 29-year-old man from Old Bridge, police said.
Authorities were notified around 2:25 p.m. Saturday that a boat had capsized on Prospertown Lake and one of its occupants was unaccounted for, police said. Vessels and divers were deployed but the boater remained missing as of Sunday morning, according to police, who said multiple agencies assisted in the response.

The search was suspended late Saturday evening due to severe weather and darkness, but resumed Sunday morning, police said.
The victim was found just before 4 p.m. Sunday and will undergo a post-mortem examination by the Ocean County Medical Examiner's Office, according to police.
