Ocean County Man Sought In Dismemberment Of Toms River Man, Prosecutor Says
Jared Krysiak of Brick is accused of helping dismember the man whose home was the site of a standoff with authorities on July 5.

TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Brick Township man is being sought in connection with the killing and dismemberment of a Toms River man at a home that was the site of an hours-long standoff on July 5, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office announced.
Jared Krysiak, 34, has been charged with hindering apprehension and desecration of human remains, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.
Krysiak is among four people accused of helping to dispose of the body of Kerry Rollason, 56, of Toms River, Billhimer said.

The slaying of Rollason was uncovered as authorities continued to investigate the fatal shooting of Gabriella Caroleo, 25, on June 27 in Manchester, he said.
Maxwell Johnston, 35, who was accused of killing Caroleo, hid at the Ravenwood Drive home in Toms River that was owned by Rollason, with the aid of Elizabeth Mascarelli, 29, Billhimer said. Johnston shot himself to death to end a nearly seven-hour standoff on July 5, and Mascarelli was arrested on a charge of hindering apprehension, he said.

Krysiak, Danielle Bolstad, 42, of Barnegat, and Jarred Palumbo, 36, of Manchester, were at the home on the day of the standoff but had evacuated early on.
Billhimer said authorities uncovered information indicating a murder had taken place at the home on or about July 3, and further investigation led authorities to a property on Toms River Road in Jackson, where they found black plastic bags with body parts and other items connected to the murder.
The Ocean County Medical Examiner identified the body parts as Rollason, and determined he had been shot multiple times and beaten, the prosecutor said.
Krysiak, Mascarelli, and Bolstad helped Johnston dismember Rollason’s body, and Mascarelli, Bolstad, Krysiak, and Palumbo helped Johnston dispose of the body in Jackson, Billhimer said.
Krysiak is the only one who has not been arrested and a warrant has been issued for his arrest. He is considered a fugitive and has been listed in the National Crime Information Center database, Billhimer said.
Anyone with information on Krysiak's whereabouts or regarding the Caroleo slaying or the Rollason killing is urged to call Detective Denis Mitchell of the Ocean County Prosecutor’s Office at 732-929-2027, ext. 2476, or Detective James Carey of the Toms River Police Department at 732-349-0150.
