Upcoming Bike Rodeo Aims To Teach Safety Through Fun To Brick Children

The Brick Township Police Department is hosting its first Bike Rodeo, and it's open to Brick children in kindergarten through fifth grade.

BRICK, NJ — The Brick Township Police Department will be hosting its first Bike Rodeo, an event to teach youngsters bicycle safety in a fun environment, in June.

The Bike Rodeo is set for June 7 and will be held from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. at Brick Memorial High School on Lanes Mill Road.

The event is for children in kindergarten through fifth grade, police said.

Activities include helmet fittings, bike inspections, a road safety course, ice cream trucks, and other family-friendly entertainment, Officer Terence Berkeley said, and aims to teach children safe riding practices.

Parents can register their children early online for the event.
