Brick Police Hoping to ID Burglary Suspect

Female suspect, caught on video, took cash, Rolex watch from Valencia Drive home Thursday

Brick police are searching for a woman who they say burglarized a Valencia Drive home Thursday afternoon.

The unidentified woman, who was caught by a security camera fleeing the scene, entered the home between 1:30 p.m. and 2:30 p.m. Thursday through the front door, then went upstairs and took $12,000 in cash and a Rolex watch, Capt. Robert Mazza said.

Surveillance footage showed the suspect exiting a late 1990s to early 2000s maroon and gray color Jeep Grand Cherokee with tinted windows, from the passenger side before entered the home. She then got back in the passenger side before the vehicle left the scene.

The suspect is described by police as a white female with brunette hair, wearing a long sleeve hooded sweatshirt, possibly green in color, light blue jeans and brown Ugg boots.

There is no information regarding the driver of the vehicle at this time, said Mazza.

Brick detectives, along with the police department's Criminal Investigations Unit, are handling the case.
