Brick Police Welcome 2 New Special Officers
The Class I Special Officers are graduates of the Academy of Law and Public Safety at Ocean County Vocational Technical School.

BRICK, NJ — Two new officers have been sworn in to the Brick Township Police Department.
Ryan Olsen and Vincent Jimenez, both graduates of the Academy of Law and Public Safety at the Ocean County Vocational Technical School who have worked in other local shore communities, were sworn in on Nov. 14, the police department said.
The two were sworn in as Class I Special Law Enforcement Officers by Mayor Lisa Crate with their families and Police Chief David Forrester in attendance.

Special Law Enforcement Officers provide essential support to the police department in the following roles, the department said:
- Assisting with the booking and lodging of prisoners.
- Aiding officers during large-scale community events, such as SummerFest.
- Patrolling our beachfront on ATVs.
- Enforcing parking regulations throughout the Township.
- Assisting with traffic control at motor vehicle collisions and other incidents.
