Donald Warn Jr., 54, Longtime Youth Sports Coach In Brick

He coached hundreds if not thousands of children and created sports programs for children with special needs, his family said.

BRICK, NJ — Donald E. Warn Jr., who dedicated his life to local youth sports programs in Brick and coached hundreds of kids in township programs, passed away Nov. 23, 2018. He was 54.

Mr. Warn, who was born in Point Pleasant and lived all his life in Brick, worked as a recreation leader for Brick Township for many years, his family said, according to his obituary from Weatherhead Young Funeral Home in Brick.

Donald was an avid Cowboys fan. He loved Brick and dedicated his life to local youth sports programs and started programs for kids with special needs; he coached hundreds, if not thousands of local kids of all ages and made a lasting, positive impact on them all. He was the best advocate and word of reason on the field or court.

Donald was a parishioner of Church of the Visitation in Brick.

He is preceded in death by his parents Donald Sr., and Marie Rose Warn, and by his sister, Diane Warn. Surviving are his wife of 32 years, Joanie Warn; his daughter, Kayla Warn; his sister, Terriann Warn; his granddaughter, Stella, and many nieces and nephews.

A funeral Mass will be celebrated on Tuesday, Nov. 27, 2018, 11 a.m. at Church of the Visitation, Brick. Cremation will be private.
