Brick, New Jersey — New Jersey is full of bright, driven young people making a difference in and out of the classroom. That’s why Patch and T-Mobile have teamed up to spotlight students excelling in academics, athletics and community service.

Tell us about your star student's accomplishments and why they deserve to be recognized on Patch!

Riel was nominated by her peers for the role of President of the National Junior Honor Society. As President, Riel used her leadership skills to apply for a grant through the NASSP to start a Flag Football Club at Lake Riviera Middle School. She was awarded the $1000 grant and the club started this spring, with approximately 40 members! She was also the winner of the NJHS Outstanding Student Award and received a $500 scholarship. She’s only 13 and already making a positive impact in her community. We are so proud of her.
