Man Arrested In Bank Robbery In Brick

Brick police said the man turned himself in over the weekend.

BRICK, NJ — A Lakewood man has been arrested in connection with the robbery of the Santander Bank on July 24, Brick Township police announced Monday.

Andrew Borbotko 3rd, 44, of Lakewood, was arrested Saturday and charged with second-degree robbery, Police Chief David Forrester said.

Detectives identified Borbotko as the suspect in the robbery at Santander Bank and a warrant was issued on Friday, Forrester said, and he turned himself in without incident.

Borbotko is being held at the Ocean County Jail in Toms River.

The Brick Township Police Department, Ocean County Prosecutor's Office, Ocean County Sheriff's Department, Lakewood Police Department, Pennsylvania State Police, and the Federal Bureau of Investigation Red Bank Office for their cooperative efforts in connection with this investigation.
