Missing Brick Woman Found After Crash At Ocean County Mall

The 56-year-old woman was issued citations for reckless driving, driving with an open container, and DUI, police said.

TOMS RIVER, NJ - A woman reported missing out of Brick Township was found by police after her car crashed into a construction site at the Ocean County Mall in the middle of the night, authorities said.

Just after 2 a.m. on May 3, Toms River police and EMS responded to a report of a vehicle that crashed into a retention basin at an active construction site at the Ocean County Mall in Toms River, a spokesperson for the Toms River Police Department told Patch.

At the scene, near the Bay Avenue entrance of the mall, officers extricated Danielle Neff, 56 of Brick, from the vehicle, police said. She was treated on scene by EMS before being transported to Jersey Shore Medical University. It was not immediately clear what injuries she sustained in the crash.

Neff was issued citations for reckless driving, driving with an open container, and driving under the influence. The accident is under investigation, police said.

Neff was reported missing by her brother Jimmy on Facebook the night prior; she was listed in stable condition following the crash, he wrote in an update.
