BRICK, NJ — Star Students are found in classrooms, on concert and theater stages and at debate lecterns, and out in the community doing good things to make life better for all of us.

Here at Patch, we've launched an initiative to help recognize Star Students, and we’re working to tell the stories of these outstanding kids to their neighbors.

This submission comes from Cliff, who nominated his son, Patrick, of Brick.

Why do you believe the star local student should be recognized?

He is a sophomore at Brick High School; he is an A student and he has wrestled varsity for 2 years now and played freshman baseball where he started and pitched also. He belongs to the Green Club at the high school which is involved with Earth and the environment. He also is a teacher's aide at Visitation Church in Brick and helps 8th graders who are making their confirmation. When wrestling season ends he will be playing baseball with the junior varsity and travel ball and Brick Little League seniors.

What's one thing you want everyone to know about the star local student?

That he is passionate about what he does and very well-rounded and cares deeply about his family and community.

Congratulations on your achievements, and all of our best wishes to you in the future, Patrick!
