• Deer Surprises Shoppers During Visit To NJ Store: Video (patch.com) — Shoppers at the Marshalls in Brick Commons were stunned when a white-tailed deer wandered into the store and had to be gently guided back outside by a customer. The brief visit, caught on TikTok and now viewed millions of times, prompted amused online reactions and a confirmation from the company that the deer safely exited the Brick Township location.
   

• Man Sentenced In Brick Township Cocaine Distribution Case (patch.com) — A Hazlet man has been sentenced to five years in prison after Brick Township police caught him during a 2024 drug transaction in a local parking lot. Detectives and a sheriff’s K-9 uncovered multiple illegal drugs, leading to his guilty plea on cocaine distribution charges. The case was prosecuted through the Ocean County courts.
   

• Gyotaku fish artist visits Brielle dock, giant 22-lb blackfish slammed (northjersey.com) — Striped bass action remains strong for local anglers, including Brick resident Louis Farris, who boated multiple keeper bass off Harvey Cedars and Seaside with his son and a friend. Their successful trip, plus a 22.8-pound blackfish catch and a Gyotaku fish-printing demo in Brielle, highlight a productive week on the water for Jersey Shore fishermen.
