• Program To Fill Vacant Storefronts Renewed In Brick (patch.com) — Brick Township has renewed its Storefront Revitalization Program, continuing to waive certain fees for small businesses that renovate long-vacant commercial spaces under 5,000 square feet. Despite a local business owner’s call to delay the vote and study the program’s effectiveness, the council unanimously approved the extension, with officials previously crediting it for filling 30 Brick storefronts.
   

• Brick Awards $1.9M Worth of Contracts to Pave 22 Roads Around Town (shorebeat.com) — Brick Township is spending about $1.9 million to repave 22 local roads, focusing on Lions Head South, Cherry Quay, Kingfisher Cove, and several isolated streets including Ridge Road by the recycling center. Work includes milling, paving, and some drainage upgrades, all awarded to the lowest qualified bidders.
   

• Gyotaku fish artist visits Brielle dock, giant 22-lb blackfish slammed (northjersey.com) — A Brick Township angler, Louis Farris, joined by his son and a friend, recently found solid striped bass action off Harvey Cedars and Seaside, boating multiple keepers and releasing larger fish. Their success came amid a still-strong bass run, a standout 22.8‑pound blackfish catch, and a visit from a Gyotaku fish-print artist at a Brielle dock.
