Police Camp Graduation Moved, National Night Out Canceled In Brick
A stormy forecast has prompted the cancelation of the annual police-community event in Brick.

BRICK, NJ — The stormy forecast for Tuesday evening has prompted Brick Township authorities to move the Youth Police Camp graduation indoors, officials announced Tuesday morning.
The camp graduation normally is part of the town's National Night Out celebration held at Windward Beach Park. That ceremony has been moved indoors, officials said.
The National Weather Service Mount Holly office forecasters say there is a significant potential for thunderstorms beginning in the early afternoon, with an 80 percent chance of rain.

Because the of the potential for lightning, Brick officials said the graduation has been moved to Civic Plaza.
"The 2024 Brick Township Police Summer Youth Camp Graduation has been moved indoors," officials said.

The graduation ceremony will begin promptly at 3 p.m. at Civic Plaza, 270 Chambers Bridge Road. Parents and guardians are asked to drop kids off not later than 2:45 p.m.
