TOMS RIVER, NJ — A Brick Township man has been sentenced to five years in prison for possessing child pornography, the Ocean County Prosecutor's Office said.

Dennis R. Hubert, 43, was sentenced by Superior Court Judge Dina M. Vicari on Friday to the state prison term, Prosecutor Bradley D. Billhimer said.

Hubert, who pleaded guilty before Vicari on May 9, is serving a 14-month sentence in state prison for violating his parole in a 2014 case where he had child pornography. The prosecutor's office said sentence on the new possession charge will run concurrently with the parole violation sentence.

Hubert was arrested in October after an investigation into a cybertip from the National Center for Missing and Exploited Children that someone was sending and receiving sexual abuse images of children from the internet, the prosecutor's office said.

Investigators traced the IP address to the home in Brick where Hubert was living, and a forensic search of his electronic devices, seized during a court-authorized search of the home, turned up an undisclosed number of images of child pornography.
