22 Bridgewater Homes Damaged During Sandy

Most of those suffered major damage, according to a NJ Spotlight report.

A total of 22 owned homes were damaged during Superstorm Sandy in Bridgewater, according to a report from NJ Spotlight.

Of those homes, 18 were reported to have major damage.

According to the data, major damage is defined as costing $8,000 to $28,800 to make repairs.

In addition, the data said, two homes were considered to have minor damage (up to $8,000), and two homes were listed with severe damage (more than $28,800 worth).

From there, only one rental unit was reported to have sustained minor damage.

In total, according to the report, 2,103 businesses in Bridgewater were impacted in some way by the storm.

In addition, according to FEMA reports, 367 home owners applied for assistance from FEMA, with about $1,301 in average amounts inspected by FEMA, 104 of which with damage between $0 and $10,000.

Two locations, the FEMA records said, were found with damage between $10,001 and $20,000.

There were a total of 68 applications from renters. Of those, two of those rental homes were found to have substantial damage, and one was found to have moderate damage.
