2nd Alarm Fire At Bridgewater Sports Arena

Firefighters are currently fighting a fire on Frontier Road on Saturday.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ - Volunteer firefighters are battling a second alarm fire at the Bridgewater Sports Arena on Saturday.

At 11:40 a.m., Finderne Fire was dispatched to 1425 Frontier Road for the Bridgewater Sports Arena for a building fire.

A second alarm was transmitted shortly after bringing in additional resources to the scene, according to Finderne Fire Department.

The fire was brought under within 30 minutes.

Additional units on scene included Martinsville Engine 1, Raritan Engine 1, Bound Brook Squad 23, Bound Brook Tower 23, Green Knoll Tower 34, and our RIC consisting of Somerset, Bradley Gardens, and North Branch FDs.

Units standing by were South Bound Brook, Manville, Somerville, and Flagtown (RIC).

EMS provided by Finderne and Manville Rescue Squads.

The fire was then upgraded to a second alarm.

Around 12:30 p.m. the bulk of the fire was knocked down.
