5 Cars to Get the Wind in Your Hair
Here are some new and used cars that deserve the top down.
If you’re looking for a great new ride to get your day started off just right, we’ve got some vehicles being sold right around the corner.
We know the weather conditions have been less than desirable this week, kind of rainy, kind of snowy and really windy. But it is March, and so, to get you in that warm weather mood, we’ve got some convertible vehicles to get you prepared to feel that summer breeze in your face.

From Cars.com: With only 24,500 miles on the vehicle, and an electric roof, you can just imagine the wind blowing through your hair (or just in your face, we don’t discriminate), as you cruise in this two-door car, leather seats cool underneath you and premium sound playing through the car’s speakers. Yes, we’re getting spring fever already.

2. 2011 Chevrolet Corvette — Used — $52,995
From Cars.com: Practically new, this convertible, with only 3,113 miles, has all the electronics you might need with power mirrors, power driver seat, push button start and that all-important power convertible top. And of course you cannot go wrong with XM Satellite radio, OnStar directions, an MP3 player and much more to make this more than just a little trip down the highway (with the top down and the wind still blowing, well, you know.).
From Cars.com: The price may be a little high, but what wouldn’t you pay for a new two-door convertible, with 6-speed transmission and bucket front seats? Probably as much as if that convertible included light privacy glass, an in-dash 6-disc CD player and the ability to go 0-60 miles per hour in 5.9 seconds. Yup, it’s going to be that kind of top-down drive.
Available at Lexus of Bridgewater.
4. 2013 BMW 335 i — New —$57,095
From Cars.com: A two-door convertible with an onboard communications system, iPod input and much more, this car will have you singing into the wind as you drive down the highway in rain or shine (although in rain you might want to trade the top down look for a spin with the rain sensing wipers—just a suggestion, though we are all for the “Singin’ in the Rain” look).
Available at BMW of Bridgewater.
5. 1999 Mazda Miata MX-5 Leather —Used — $4,444
From Cars.com: With more than 140,000 miles already on it, the soft top convertible has its own bucket cloth seats and more in this fuel efficient vehicle. With a five-speed manual engine and all-season tires, it may be a bit of an older vehicle, but that doesn’t mean it’s not just waiting for you to claim it and ride off into the wind.
Available at Fullerton Auto Group in Somerville.
