5K Run, 2-Mile Walk To Raise Money For Homeless Youth At Duke Island Park
The 5k Run and 2 Mile Walk by Visions and Pathways of Bridgewater will take place from 9 a.m. until noon.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — Visions and Pathways 25th Run and Walk for Our Youth’s Future will be held on Saturday, April 22 at Duke Island Park in Bridgewater.
The annual run’s proceeds will benefit the organization’s arts and recreation program. Visions and Pathways goal is to provide abused, neglected, homeless and runaway youth, ages 13-21, with an avenue for self-expression and physical activity to help them deal with the trauma in their lives, develop untapped talent, explore new pursuits, and participate in the community.
The 5k Run and 2 Mile Walk will take place from 9 a.m. until noon. The 25th annual run will include food, entertainment, kids’ activities, raffles, and much more.

"For over 50 years, our organization was known for running a youth shelter and group homes. Many of our kids come through the foster care system. While we continue to run group homes, we are emphasizing outreach prevention, family reunification and helping children avoid becoming displaced from their families," said David Walker, CEO
Visions and Pathways is dedicated to meeting the needs of abused and neglected youth. Programs and services include temporary housing, independent life skills training, street outreach and prevention services, comprehensive case management, counseling, financial literacy instruction, and more. Since 1970, more than 11,800 homeless, abused and neglected youth have come to seek shelter, food, clothing, and support services.

"Our programs help youth see their potential for success and guide them along the often difficult path of becoming a thriving adult. Ultimately, our programs help end the cycle of dependency. The future is very bright for our agency and for the youth we serve," said Walker.
