ADA Encouraging Diabetes Test to Determine Risks

Tuesday is American Diabetes Association Alert Day.

The American Diabetes Association, with an office in Bridgewater, is encouraging people to be aware of risks as Tuesday is American Diabetes Association Alert Day.

According to a release from Bridgewater Township, the association is encouraging people to take the Diabetes Risk Test on Tuesday, and share it with friends and family.

The test, the release said, asks participants seven questions in an effort to determine the potential risks for prediabetes or type 2 diabetes. Preventative tips are then provided for those who take it, and those at high risk are encouraged to talk to their doctors, the release said.

Bridgewater is joining the Movement to Stop Diabetes, the release said, by encouraging all residents and employees to take one minute out of their day to take the test online.

Click here to take the test online. According to the release, for every survey completed online, Boars Head Deli Products will donate $5 to the ADA, up to $50,000.

Paper copies are also available at the Bridgewater Health Department in the main lobby of the municipal building.
