Authorities Investigating Home Invasion in Somerset County

Authorities in Somerset County are investigating a home invasion that occurred in the county earlier this week.

At approximately 8:20 p.m. on Monday, June 1, Franklin Township Police officers responded to an Ambrose Street home after receiving a report about a home invasion, according to the Somerset County Prosecutor’s Office. Four men at the residence told police they were robbed at gunpoint while inside the home.

The victims said three unknown black males, dressed in black hooded sweatshirts, black pants and ski masks, and brandishing two handguns and a shotgun, forced their way into the home, according to the prosecutor’s office. The victims were robbed of cash, cellphones, Nike Air Jordan sneakers and a North Face backpack, authorities said.

The suspects reportedly forced the victims onto the floor and assaulted the victims by pistol whipping them. The victims of the home invasion suffered minor injuries, including minor bruises and lacerations to their heads and faces, and refused medical attention at the scene, authorities said.

The suspects fled the home in an unknown direction.

The names of the four victims of the home invasion were not released.
