Bridgewater Baseball Gearing Up For Tournament
The Memorial Day Tournament will be held in May.

Bridgewater Baseball & Softball is beginning to prepare for its 2013 Memorial Day Tournament, to be held May 24 through May 27.
The tournament is designed for age groups 8u through 14u, and most of the games will be played at the Prince Rodgers and North Branch Complex on Prince Rodgers Avenue.
According to a release about the tournament, the fee for 8U and 9U divisions is $475 per team, with a three-game guarantee, as well as potential play-off eligibility. For 10U and over teams, the fee is $495 per team with the same guarantees.

Proceeds from the tournament, the release said, will be used to benefit the 12U Bridgewater Baseball teams’ trip to the All-Star Village in Cooperstown, New York over the summer.
“We are excited for another great Memorial Day Tournament and expect almost 100 teams to participate,” said Brian Hughes, Memorial Day Tournament coordinator, in the release. “The Memorial Day Tournament is a fundraiser to benefit the three 12U teams that will travel to Cooperstown, NY for a week-long tournament.”

The league itself is for grades one through nine, and the focus is on summer season and league play. The latter are optional additional programs for the fall, winter and spring.
