Bridgewater DPW Superintendent 'Will be Missed'
Tom Forsythe is the acting superintendent after John Langel's retirement.

John Langel, the township’s superintendent of public works, retired as of July 1, Township Administrator Jim Naples announced at Tuesday’s Township Committee meeting.
Council members praised Langel’s service to the township.
“He will be missed,” Council President Christine Henderson Rose said.
Rose added that the Washington Camp Ground Association, organizers of the annual Fourth of July ceremonies at Camp Middlebrook on Middlebrook Road, were “very complimentary” of the job that Langel and his crews did in preparing the site for the holiday, cleaning up the damage from Sandy and cutting the grass.
Langel had been employed by the township for 17 years.
Tom Forsythe is the acting superintendent and deputy municipal services director. A permanent replacement for Langel is expected to be named in the fall, Naples said.
