Bridgewater Resident Finishes Race Ahead of Explosions

There is no word yet on the safety of four residents at the marathon.

Four Bridgewater residents participated in the Boston Marathon Monday, with one reportedly finishing about an hour before the explosions began.

According to information from the Boston Marathon, Bridgewater resident Paul Arlt finished the marathon around 2:19 p.m., just under an hour before the explosions began.

At least 2 are dead and hundreds injured after two explosions near the finish line of Monday's race.

A loud explosion was heard near a bridge that marks the finish line in the annual race, the New York Times reported. A third explosion occurred later at the John F. Kennedy Library in Boston, which police told CNN is likely connected to the marathon bombings.

Information on Arlt's status is not available at this time, as some are only able to relay their information via Facebook pages or text messages.

Also participating in the marathon from Bridgewater were Bill Zalan, Walter Huber and Joseph Rotondo. None of them finished the entire marathon, according to the website.
