Bridgewater Woman’s Club Holds Community Baby Shower

The club is collecting diapers and other essential baby care items throughout September to help underserved families across New Jersey.

BRIDGEWATER, NJ — The Bridgewater Woman's Club is pleased to hold a community-wide Baby Shower during the month of September for the benefit of Moms Helping Moms Foundation.

Mom’s Helping Mom’s Healthy Start for Babies Program collects and distributes diapers and other essential baby care items to underserved families across New Jersey through their network of more than 90 partner organizations.

Currently, they are in need of baby wipes, shampoo, and lotion, as well as diaper cream, diapers (size 4-6) and new or gently used clothing (up to size 5T).

The Bridgewater Woman's Club is holding a drop-off location at the PeopleCare Center, Lobby Area, 120 Finderne Ave. in Bridgewater. Donations will be accepted Monday through Friday, Sept. 2 to 30 from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.

National Diaper Need Awareness Week is Sept. 15 to 21. The week draws attention to the issue of diaper need in the U.S.

"Diaper need is the lack of a sufficient supply of diapers to keep an infant or child clean, dry, and healthy. It affects 1 in 2 families in the U.S."

In 2024, along with countless other baby essentials such as formula, nursing supplies, clothing, and strollers, Mom’s Helping Mom’s distributed 1,172,945 diapers and served 167,478 individuals.

"Join us in this community drive and help support Mom’s Helping Mom’s in this critical effort to fight childhood poverty and give all children in our community an opportunity to have a safe and healthy start! Thank you!!" said the Bridgewater Woman's Club.
