Come Taste the Cheese (and Wine) at KofC Event

If you're looking for a fun and social way to end the week, head to the Our Lady of the Hills, Knights of Columbus Council Wine and Cheese Tasting Party, Friday.

With more than 40 fine red and white wines, as well as exotic beers and gourmet cheese and hors d'oeuvres, the event will be a special night—and with all proceeds going to help support the Knights' efforts to provide aid and assistance are offered to sick, disabled and needy parish members and their families, you know it's a worthwhile cause.  

The tasting party will be held from 7 p.m. to 10 p.m. in the church's Parish hall, at 1890 Washington Valley Road, in Martinsville.  

"We will explain each wine’s characteristics at prior to serving the tasting," Grand Knight John Arcoleo said.  

The event will also include drawings and basket auctions for prizes including an original paiting of Yankees legend Mickey Mantle by William Lopa—with an estimated retail value $2,500—as well as a select number of regionally arranged baskets of fine wines to bid on. 

Tickets are $35 per person and will be available at the door, or at Sal Longo’s Talk of the Town Barber Shop.
